SO the first Valentine's Day married was awesome.  The new hubby cooked me an amazing dinner, and was a total sweetheart.  I'm a lucky girl.

I am trying to decide whether or not to go back to school... I REALLY need some PHP knowledge.  I fail so hard at a bunch of the things that I want to be able to do because I just have NO working knowledge other than kinda reverse engineering it and muddling through.  I have a project that REALLY needs a compitent PHP programmer.  So... if anyone knows one, please let me know.  

I have been a shit and done almost no writing in the last two weeks.  With some of the other stuff going on, I have let myself push it onto the back burner.  Shame on me.

So work is picking up and getting plenty busy.  That has, sadly, kept me from my literary endeavors, but I'm still trying to get back on track.  No more letting the literature slumber whilst letting myself get all busy doing other things.  Life is important and all... but so is doing what I love.  ^_~  

For those who don't know... I got married on the 30th of December.  Loving married life, though my hubby's job has kept him outta town a lot of late.  *sad face*  Kinda hard to work on starting a family when he's not here to participate.  (expecting many crude jokes inserted here)  Other than that, we're doing wonderfully, so all is well in the personal department.

I should have my new author site up in the next few days.  S' not at all finished, but I'm plugging away at it.  I'll have my main writing projects there, as well as some random goodies.

I've decided that I've been down the rabbit hole long enough.  I lived some life... had some ups and downs.  I neglected what I love most, and finally... FINALLY... after 5 years... I'm back.

I'm rebooting my web site.

I'm back and focused once more... ready to share some literature and fun.  If you still chose to have some faith, to walk this journey once more... please leave me a comment.  I could really use hearing from some old friends.  It's a long road back, but I'll take it step by step.

So… it’s been a year to the day since I last posted on DA.  A long time, especially by net standards.  In that time, my whole life has changed, for the better mostly.  I’ve moved, twice, and found the love of my life.  (is very content and happily in love right now) I’ve been slowly working on the second SoA book, and am half way done with it.  I’ve even started a new book series… which I just might give you a peek of in the next week or so.

All in all, I’ve been working on getting my life together.  The publishing deal I thought I had fell through, which really messed with my head for a long time.  However, life is about picking yourself up and trying again, which is exactly what I’m doing.  I rewrote the beginning of the first book, again, and have expanded on a few sections that needed work.  I finally feel like I just might have something worth getting out there, which makes me happy.

Now… onto the news.  

Born of Midnight

The House of Midnight is a vampire suspense series upon which I have begun serious work in the last few months.  It is a new style and genera for me, and a good deal more adult.  However, I really feel that the project has some real potential and I’m enjoying these early stages.  www.thehouseofmidnight.com will be up in the next week.

This is my new website.  Here, you will be able to link to Shards of Alesya, The House of Midnight, and several of my other projects that I have decided to share.  It’s mostly the portal for all of my collected works, centralized and organized for my sanity.  ^_~  You can find it at: www.shadowsnocturne.com

New domain name on this one, as some of you may know my .net got swiped last year.  www.shardsofalesya.com is now active.  I’m going to be redoing that layout and adding the most recent chapters of book 2 as well, as that poor site has been neglected in my net absence.  Look for some new art, new chapters, and a few other goodies as well.

All in all, this should be my return to activity in the net world.  I really needed the time away, but I finally feel like my life is at a point at which I can get back to some serious work on the things I love most.  Please feel free to note me if you need anything, and I’d love to see everyone over at the SoA forums, which have been revamped and expanded to include all of the Shadow’s Nocturne stuff.
